Class gathering location?

So the June holidays are coming! :D I think most of us want a class gathering, so here are 4 locations for you all to choose from:

1. Macs @ Tmart
Hahaha this is like our old place, we've gone there for so many gatherings already and it's probably the most convenient for many of us.

2. Class chalet
There are some people who want a class chalet! We would be able to spend more time together bbq and stuff but it would be difficult to collect the money and arrange who would be able to stay over at night.

3. Escape theme park
The good thing is that we can have more fun! The bad thing is it's slightly expensive and some people might not be able to go for the rides?

4. Bowling
Cheaper alternative compared to ETP and we can have fun too :) Hmm bad thing is not everyone knows how to bowl and not everyone is interested in it :(

It's June soon, and the holidays are coming. I suggest hosting a class gathering for this holiday period. Well, it's obvious that we has been repeating posting for the gathering, but this is just an advance post, to attract more potential '6Ailens' to go for the gathering.

Since the gathering is going to in the month where many people will be busy spamming games, I would like to host instead of the original old, crumby McDonald in Tampines. If you like it, I suggest hosting on East Coast Park, as we can have dinner there too. However, it is a high change that the food we bought would be a waste, so instead let's have it in E!Hub? The date poll would be in a summary; so here it is:

Finally, the weekend is over. Anyway, we, have decided. Our Venue is Tampines Mart, McDonald's! (Although I really want to go to E!hub...) Furthermore, Miss Lee will be coming! If we were to go early, we can have our dinner first then we can chat! According to the time, we should gather at Tampines Mart, McDonald's, at around, maybe 6:30 p.m. to 8 30 p.m.? Whoa! It's been more than a month ever since the last post on this page... Is there anybody even going into it nowadays? Well, at least I do... Haha!!! :) I've just ended my test today and I must say that I am quite elated that it is over. Apparently, next week is my Sec2 Camp at Camp Christine for 4days 3nights which I am not looking forward to at all! Life goes on anyway.... By the way, will there be any class gathering again during the holidays?

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the update. I think blogs do not have to be updated every day to be considered 'alive'. Now and then should be fine. Furthermore, what's more important is that more of you blog as well, even if the messages are short.

It's 2nd year of Sec school for all of you. You should be feeling pretty settled down now, right?

It's natural that some people will eventually lose touch with the rest - if they want to keep in touch, they will.

This blog is important because not everyone has a Facebook account, so for those who don't, this is where they can check for updates. Otherwise, we can consider creating a Facebook group and shifting our 6A virtual meeting place over there, so it's more private.

These are some points that we can consider. :)

Long Time No Post!

Whoa! It is soon to be school's reopens! Finally, of all the year we had fun, laughter, peace and joy, it's time to end. Also, why doesn't anybody post since the gathering. It is like: When your' going to meeting you turn ON (Tick). When your' going to leave you turn OFF (Tick-Tock)...

Plus, I forget to post up for the gathering for a long, long time. Never mind that. However, how does Miss Lee know that there are photos of us in the gathering? Weird... Not only that, I suspect that most of the 6A'08 has left and lost touch! That include Ryan, Shao Hong, Ting Feng, Jack, Terence and many more (Sorry for the girls I forgot most of them)

I do not know how to post the photos since I do not have the camera. Given the certain situation, we would still see each other...

I'm not sure whether Miss Lee have A Facebook account, but whatever...

This is yet another post ,on the eve of the gathering

Its December. What's on your mind when i say December? Do you think of Christmas? Oncoming Oversea Trip? That the year end Holiday is going to end in a few weeks time? I kind of hate thinking about the last one. I think most of us would think of Christmas. Its the festive season of Joy , happiness and err~~~~, never mind about that.

Most MMORPGs or other MMOs have already uploaded their Christmas Contents and Events. Even Facebook Games Application. For some of you who play Mousehunt , one gingerbread cheese actually costs 400 gold , even more expensive than brie! Here's a secret i found out in the Nibbler. The snow in the Festive Comet is melting slowly , revealing more stuff. Soon , there will be a blueprint crafting item loot from mice. With that Blueprint , you can finally craft something that may use icing sugar or any other items you thought was useless.

Well , Im glad that my idea of holding the gathering at DTE was used , its a better place compared to the same old boring Tampines Mart. Im trying to get new PSP games to bring there as we speak ... I meant as i type. Well . Lets hope everyone , or at least most of us , turn up at the event , i mean gathering tomorrow. And i hope you know what bus to take there.

Finally, the gathering is confirmed! The December 2009 gathering is decided! (By Vote)

The gathering points are:

The Venue : Downtown East
The Date : 8 December
The Time : 3 p.m. - 9:30 / 10 p.m. (You may want to go there earlier, but I would want too)

ESPS 6A'08 Blog Update

I just realised that this blog, only post the meeting factors only, and I have post since last month. According to the voting of the gathering, it will be held on:

The venue : Downtown East
The date: ??? (December)
The time: Around night time

Based on the recent voting, it would be from 1-10 December, but which floor, position should we wait? I would love to go to the arcade and play Mario Kart... (LoL) Since Miss Lee only can reach there around night time, I would recommend we should come at afternoon, and when Miss Lee come, then we will eat, or is it the other way around?

Never mind that. Due to the fact that the vote are 1-10 December, I cannot host the votes from 1-5 December, since it will be unfair for those who just saw the gathering factors on 4 December and the gathering is on 3 December.

Hey people,

Now that exams are over, are you all celebrating? :)

Whatever results you got this time round, just remember that it won't follow you for life. So if you did well, keep working hard; if you didn't do too well, persevere - but do remember to find out why you made the mistakes you made, rather than to blindly keep going at it.

I have no comments about the venue for the class outing. For one thing, I can only meet at night. That might be an issue if you're thinking of travelling far.

It's fun to know that my students are still looking forward to meeting as a class, even after a year. That's wonderful.

Maintain your ties. Don't lose touch.

This is ,as you know ( or don't know) my first post here. I don't really know how and to what extent of ... never mind. I decided to post in a style how i write my blog posts.

Good night, everybody. You're now on News @ 10PM on Channel Aliens. Tonight , we will be reporting about the recent happenings and future plans.

In prime news , we all know there may be a november class gathering. The venue , date and time is currently unknown. I suggest Downtown East as it is relatively near and obviously more fun than Tampines Mart. We could go bowling or the video game arcade at e-hub during the gathering. If time's a problem, we could all hold the gathering at someplace at Downtown East and those who can stay back after the gathering can do whatever activities at their own accord. Oh who am i kidding? There's obviously almost too much post about the gathering. I shall not continue further.( But Im serious about the venue @ Downtown East thing )

In other news , most of our examinations should be over so its time for mass relaxation, exhiliration and celebration. The only setback now would of course be the reveal of our amazing *or not so amazing* results.

In sports news , ... There are no sport news.

Finally, after a long week, I finally get to blog! Anyway, some of us are still on the road of examinations. Still, Good Luck To Your E-O-Y Examination!

Miss Lee, I 'hanged' In there already. I just finished my paper. However, Maths was the hardest, yet I love it! The HALL which is air-conditioned, I was freezing! We then celebrate that exams are over and lie down there and relax........

Also, The NOVEMBER Gathering! Just Kidding. I just wanted to chat with 6A'08 boys and versus Andre In Chinese Chess... I Still have his contact but recently, he kept calling me but when I answer, either weird sounds happened or no reply. I am going to the Science Center (My Death Pit) Again! To Forensic Science! During the exams, many of us is stressed. Relieve your stress and get back to your feet. Stress may give you some help, but too much stress will cause you to fall. Relax, play games, after studying for one hour, take a break (Kit-Kat, have a break) for 10 minutes. I got lots of things to tell, but my hands have exercised enough. (Playing Computer helps to train your muscles in your fingers!) Just Kidding. All the Best to everyone and Good Luck For Your Exams!

This is the start of Term 4 Week 2. Likely to be stressful, isn't it? Pace yourselves and don't do last minute work. That should help. ;)

Sec 1 is an exciting time for you to evolve your learning from the rudimentary to the abstract. It's the beginning of more abstract learning of various disciplines with time to come. Believe me, the course material gets more interesting as you progress through the secondary levels.

Gathering Review On 9/9/09

Ya! Miss Lee was There! However, there were 12 girls and 2 boys. There are more boys than girls in 6A'08, but yet more girls came, and only Daryl and me went for the gathering. He thought that the gathering would have a lot of people. Sadly, 2 boys came in out of 22 boys! I and Daryl came early, then Miss Lee Came when 4 girls and 2 boys came! Soon, the ladies came and increased their popularity thrice! Although I saw some girls giving presents to Miss Lee, but I did not! I organised the gathering is to meet the boys of 6A'08! Never mind, at least it was fun yesterday. We end at the auspicious time: 9:09:09 p.m.! Then, we took a photo of us, without some of them.

I do not have the photo, and Miss Lee's face have not change yet, except her hair. The same shirt (Or was it not?), the same face, but different jobs. I was asking her about her job which we would see her hand on Television! In summary, it was fun!

I know why the boys and some girls did not come, because it was a last-minute decision. Thus, we should reflect about this and should host another gathering during the November Holidays, where everyone is free and joyous! You may be wondering, why did I want another gathering again, since I saw Miss Lee yesterday. Actually, I just wanted to chat with the boys, mostly Miss Lee. If you have any contact with the 6Aliens, please contact them to attend the gathering during the November holidays!

Gathering Postponed Again? Not Really.

I am afraid that outsiders are involved in this case. Marcus, It is not 63% of the 6Aliens are not coming, but it is 63%of people who voted for the poll. Actually, I was wondering whether someone is spamming vulgarities in this blog. Anyway, I just realised that we can have the gathering on 9/9/09, either without you or with you. Miss Lee Might Come, But Some Might Not. I guess it's too late for now, but not on 9/9/09, which is 999( What a special date. It is rare on 9/9/09, 9:09:09 p.m., and with 99 mini sec.)According to the poll, 6 people cannot make it, but 'heck care' it. 1 voted on 8/9/09, which is me accidentally, but i wanted to change to 9/9/09, so the votes are:

9 September = 6 (1 from me, 3 from others and 2 from the 'Both Days For Me')
Neither, I am not going = 5 (Serious, so let's have it on 9/9/09)

Wow! It's been a long time since i posted... Regarding the class gathering during the holidays, I do not think it is plausible because according to the poll, 63% (updated on 6/9/09) of the aliens is not free for the gathering and that includes me. I think we have to postpone it again. :(

Adrian, oh my! First time I am reading such a long posting from you. Don't worry, you will see me. :-) By the way, I still look the same. You'll remember me easily. We just need to meet at least once or twice a year, and you can't possibly forget me.

Thanks to Joey, Andre and Shi Ting for your teachers' day greetings. I am in the office - not on holiday at the moment. But we had a nice lunch out earlier - the few of us who were former-teachers. ;)

Joey, I am glad you found what I taught you still relevant. There are many times I sit here doing my work for the Ministry, and I still remember the times I was in the classroom asking all of you never-ending questions. I can never forget how after doing one of the Maths Practice papers, Crystal commented to me, "Ms Lee, we have tried and tried, but after doing the paper, I am brain dead." Haha, now after going to Sec school, think you'll find Primary school not so punishing.

Meeting Postponed Again?

Dear 6Ailens,

What! No Meeting! Nooooooo! Just kidding. Actually, I don't mind having the meeting during the November holidays. However, please do not host on the last meeting with Miss Lee. No offences but, some of us are NOT studying (Actually I am not sure), for now. I am studying, but still free when there is a meeting. Miss Lee finally read the posts (Oh, finally!) and yet want to postponed to November! I know that Miss Lee need to do a project and we are studying for the EOY; but:

During the Meeting in the December Holidays - Some did not come. ( I did not come too!)
During the Meeting in the March Hoildays - Most came but Miss Lee did not come.
During the Meeting in the June Holidays - H1N1 became worse so Meeting is Postponed.
During the Meeting in the September Holidays (Future) - Due to EOY's preparation and Miss Lee's Urgent Project, Meeting is Postponed to November Holidays.

In this 4 ( + 1 , Just kidding) non-perfect meetings, I had not seen Miss Lee Since 20 November 2008, which is on the Post Results Day, until now!( Or Maybe More?). Ok, now I would tell you all about the Dates for the meetings:

Now, I cannot even remember Miss Lee's Face without the photos! Today, I saw Ryan on 31/August/2009, Monday, 11:03:27 a.m. ( Isn't this too specific? ) Now, less 6Aliens visited this blog, not to mention remember this blog! Now, let's go to the Main topic. (What!)

So, Can We have our meeting on the September Holidays? Even without Miss Lee, the star? Can we not postpone the meeting, since H1N1 is slowed down now? Can we find a date for the meeting? I am not too sure about Sept holidays - I've been roped in for a major project recently, and we're working hard this period, and definitely working through the Sept holidays as well. Anyway, you're probably busy studying for your exams. Think it might be better to do a post exam thing instead. It can even be in Nov.

It's almost a full 8 months that I've not been a teacher. I miss teaching my students, and certainly, I fondly remember all of you.

So as said by "Simple Uniquely Me", do ppl wan a class gathering during the September Hols? Frankly speaking, for me, i won't wan a gathering. 'cause its jus a short hol of a week and EOY(End-Of-Year) exams are approaching, we may not have time to study. As for me, i need to go back to sch for extra lessons for 3 days that week from morn to noon, so if were to have a gathering, i most likely won't be able to go unless its in the evening. Back to the main problem. NO ONE HAVE POST ON JULY! (Maybe it is a new record) It's so long since we posted. Anyway I recommend Miss Lee of using chatango and it is free! Below it is 'Create New', and you can have you very own chatango! (WOW! I can actually make this an advertisement!).

H1N1 has been mild for a while, so can we have the gathering be closer? Also, I have one question: Are Our Gathering Illegal? I mean, about 20-30 people gather to eat, and their gathering is cancelled due to the police. 6Aliens, please don't be alarmed by this. Anyway, this is just a question for Miss Lee, NOT for 6Aliens. Plus, many 6Aliens are fading away from this blog and soon, no one is interested in this blog, I mean, they are bored for this blog and want to leave, and this is just a notice to 'grab' back our 6Aliens. Sounds like fun, people - your first week of term 3. :)

Good to look forward to school and studies. When I was a student, I couldn't wait to go back to school too.

Frankly, I don't know when we're going to have the class outing yet. We need to monitor this H1N1 situation. It's a fun-spoiler, I agree. I actually bought plane tickets to a nearby destination for my vacation leave too. Ended up spending my vacation in Singapore - so the plane literally flew off without me. What to do? It's the issue of social responsibility.

Meanwhile, eat fruits and veggies, have enough sleep and exercise regularly. Try to keep your immunity level high.

Meeting Postponed? (Followed Up By Miss Lee And The Chat Box)

As what Miss Lee said, the meeting will be postponed to when things are OK and H1N1 is under control; Also, the meeting is not cancelled, as of what Kangar said, and I hope the world crisis will be over soon and the medicals doctors and researchers please find the medicine fast so we can go for a meeting quick.

Back Then, I really regretted voting for 25 June instead of 4 June, where H1N1 is not that serious. Nevertheless, we still have to face the reality. Plus, it is no use crying over split milk. What we can do is to hope that the world crisis is over. How about this, the gathering will be on a weekday where it is a school day. According to the news, if a school has a student with H1N1, the whole school will close to prevent more spreading. Also, H1N1 is not as serious as other deadly and incurable diseases. While waiting for the crisis to be over, what should we do in the meantime, and Miss Lee would tell us when it is safe to go for a gathering. Let just relax and be patient.

I just hope no one got infected by H1N1... And I recommend NOT to go overseas, no matter where, unless you MUST go to a certain place. Today is actually the original date of the meeting if there is no H1N1. Remember to stay active and have fun.

Why the gathering is POSTPONED.

I hear all of you. Like kangar said, the gathering is postponed, not cancelled. Daryl is right too in saying that we're not talking about gatherings for the short term only, but we should look forward to gatherings in the long term.

Let's face it. As you all grow up, move to JCs, universities or go abroad for studies etc, things will change. It is unlikely that 10 years down the road, we'd be having class gatherings once every quarter of the year. You'd have new cliques, new 'graduating class' type of gatherings...I know, because I walked that path before. So actually, even one gathering a year is very valuable. I think some people have never even had a class gathering after they left primary school, but you've had two so far.

I said to postpone because if you read the newspapers today, it says that schools will be issuing Leave of Absence for 7 days to all students who travelled to affected countries but returned after 21 June. Schools are doing temperature taking as well, and will be taking many precautionary measures. Even school buses are going to be cleaned daily to ensure hygiene. There are reasons why there was a H1N1 press conference on Monday, and another H1N1 press conference on Tuesday. People don't have press conferences for no particular reason, and two ministries had them one after the other.

Do we have such measures at our class gathering? Won't we be defeating the efforts to protect students when we do not bother about travel plans or Leave of Absence for our class gathering?

I have the responsibility to ensure you are all gathering safely, rather than taking risks. It is not an issue about 'being chicken' or not, but about being realistic and assessing the risks. There are many people out there who are unaware of the risks and being complacent about the H1N1 issue because they do not read enough of what's happening. As said in the news, H1N1 is curable, but it does not mean there are no deaths. Out of every 1,000 cases, there are a few deaths. An article in My Paper also noted World Health Organisation as saying that about one-third of a population are at risk from H1N1, and hence, an estimated 1 million Singaporeans would potentially be at risk.

I get the news everyday where I work, and I read news from every single newspaper (all languages), TV and radio station daily. I even read foreign newspapers. It's hard for me not to be aware.

It's not like we're not going to meet. We will meet when the situation is better. Be patient.

Um , just a suggestion , because even if there if there's only a small group of people coming , there should not be space left for our gathering because 7.15 is around dinner time and many people go there ..
So here's the suggestion : We can go to the macdonalds at tampines east cc , near 201 because the macdonalds there is bigger , and it's a walkable distance from tampines mart , but can take bus also (:
This is just a suggestion , there are pros and cons for this .

I think we should just meet at Mcdonalds as previously arranged. Tampines Mart is a good location because people don't need to travel far to meet.

Furthermore, I do not think we will have a big turnout. Likely to be a small group of us. We had only about 15 of us in Dec's outing.

Actually, the McDonald's is now going under construction and yesterday, I went there to have my dinner and when I go there the place very noisy and the toilet is closed. (Maybe this is the worst part coz if you wan go toilet need to go to the toilet that is beside mcdonalds and there is very deserted and smelly.) Plus, some of the seats have been taken due to the construction and the notice say from 15 June to 2 July!

I am not sure but I recommend going to KFC or somewhere else. You don't want the meeting to be noisy and loud that you can't eat in peace? I am not the host so this is just a notice for us. Also some ailens never know about the meeting, even during december (I never go) and march holidays. Pls consider for this 'important' (which may seemly UNimportant). Thank You.

About Class Gathering in June

Hi people,

June weekdays will be good for meeting.

At this very moment, the nights of 4 June and 5 June will be the best for me, as I am on course those two days and will be able to meet about 6.30 or so in the evening.

On other workdays, I tend to get delayed at work due to urgent matters that crop up, and as I work all the way in Buona Vista (the west), I need quite a bit of time to drive down.

Aside from 4 and 5 June, I can meet on weekdays of 10-25 June at night (for now). The thing is: for now, it looks fine. But I can't guarantee that in a couple of days, I will not have days booked up. The nature of my job is such.

Haha(: I guess i'm like almost the last one to post here. I have not been online for like, 1 month alr?! Gosh, the last time i blogged here was like eons ago.

Anw, since i'm such a slowpoke, i'm not gonna wish everyone gd luck for MYE cos like practically everyone is getting their results alr. So, i'm gonna wish everyone to get all A1s for every subject for EOY. And those who alr got A1s, keep it up(:

Sad to say, i am not one of those who got any A1s, so i'm not gg to brag. Instead, i'm gonna post how i think i'm gonna fail my Physics.

Okay, so i didn't have enough time to finish doing 2 our of the 4 qns out of the 5 we were supposed to choose. Uhm, am i sounding complicated?

You know the section C, you have to choose 4 out of 5 qns and each one is worth 10 mrks. So i didn't have enough time to complete 2. Ya. And the worse thing was that i had 2 hrs -,-||| I told you i was a slowpoke alr.

Gah. So i recieved my paper yesterday/the day before (I can't rmb) and i got 53. Out of 100. Then i found sooooooo many marking errors that i think will cost me 4 mrks. (Ya, i'm sooooo honest :D) So am i gonna fail?!?! Nooooooo!!!! I don't want to fail!!!!! But then i have my SPA (Science Practical Assesment) which is 10% and i think i did quite well for that.

So will i fail? I will not? Really?!?!?!?! Okay, i know i'm just being stupid. And wasting the precious space we have here.

How's everyone doing? In a flash, we're now in the month of April. It seems like most of you are getting along fine in school - except you're feeling the stress in meeting grade (great) expectations to excel academically, and facing other friendship issues.

It's normal. Don't worry. And you'll only grow stronger from all these experiences.

Many years down the road, what you will value will be the thinking skills you have developed from all the years of struggling with learning. You will be glad to have good friends who are still with you, and who were with you during those tough days when you felt you might have simply flunked everything.

When you look back at your life many years later, what do you want to remember? What would you like to be your take-away? Ask yourselves this, and make it your guiding principle. Don't just spend your days being busy. Make life meaningful for yourselves.

kangar evily declares that she will close the poll on FRIDAY maybe not closing the poll, just ignoring the votes after that.
So far, the best date would be 18 March, Wednesday at night. And the location should be at Tampines Mart macdonalds.
As for wearing school uniform, I think it is interesting especially watching people whom you've had seen only in ESPS uniform in their new school uniform. I look silly in my uniform :x

How are you all doing in your new school? And how you guys like your CCA? Sigh, didn't get into my favourite CCA anyway. And my school life is so busy and hours are long :( Feel so emo... Lol. Look, we used to see each other everyday, but it had been at least a month when we haven't meet! Missed those primary school days...
I saw cbox many people want to have gathering, I also want!
So thought of hosting. But I'm only free on weekends.
1st, when will the gathering be and how many people can go? where can we go?

How's school? ;)

I've been blogging quite a bit these days - though they're all not seen because it's under Corporate blogging. Only MOE people can see it.

I've still been reading all your blogs. Most of you seem to be excited about CCAs these days. Hands-up if you got into your favourite CCA!

I just met Danial at Simei the other day. Wonder if I'll be meeting any of you anytime soon?

Some of you are already talking about having a gathering. The funny part is that we just had a gathering sort of one and a half months ago, yet it seems to have been quite long, eh?

As for you people trying to get back into ESPS to visit, I think the best person to ask 'why' would be the gentleman in the office. He should know best. Else, you might just want to link up with the teachers at school accordingly.

Thanks for sharing your stories...enjoyed the one about you wearing primary school uniforms to get back! Reminds me of how the ancient emperor tried to travel incognito amongst the commonfolk! Haha.

I'm thinking...we should have a list of your names with schools. Help me compile this. I'm trying to remember...let me know if I got the name in the wrong school too...

How's life for you, my dear former students?

Everyone's in a new environment - me too. Suddenly, I'm in a place where I am doing things that are totally different.

I get to work with the media quite often now. ;) Quite exciting, huh?

Secondary school life may seem very new for you now, just as my new job seems extremely foreign to me at the moment. But we'll be able to work through all of these well.

Have fun studying! (I wished I was a student too. ;)
